Job description:
Godman Guild Association is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide HR services to the organization.

Essential Responsibilities
• Recruit and provide hiring assistance to all departments
• Participate in department planning and coordination.
• Assist in executing special projects as assigned.
• Coordinate and maintain required certifications, i.e. CPR/First Aid, for all employees.
• Review, update and maintain Employee Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Enroll employees in Flexible Spending Plan and monitor benefits.
• Enroll employees in 401(k) plan and monitor benefits. Initiate all employee rollovers and withdrawals.
• Respond to worker’s compensation and unemployment claim requests.
• Monitor, track and review all performance evaluations for employees.
• Initiate and complete termination process.
• Initiate and complete exit interviews for all employees. Provide reporting to Chief Operating Officer on a quarterly basis.
• Document all performance conversations with employees and be sure documentation is in personnel file.
• Maintain employee personnel files.
• Monitor staff fund and ensure gifts are purchased and distributed to employees, i.e. anniversaries, birthdays, special events.
• Recruit, i.e. job fairs, and coordinate all supplemental staff, i.e. volunteers, interns, work study students, etc.
• Ensure all workplace policies are being adhered to consistently with all employees

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Requirements for the position include:

bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with PHR certification preferred,
minimum of 2 years direct work experience as an HR Generalist,
satisfactory background and driving record check,
strong written and verbal communication skills,
proficiency with Excel is a must, and
HRIS skills and experience are preferred.
