RECRUITER/ Human Resources Business Partner

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: 20-50%

WORK SCHEDULE: This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.



POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for increasing the effectiveness of the organization by providing integrated Human Resources Support to a division or department by being an integral member of the client’s management team; A large emphasis of this role will be focused on the employee life cycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Recruits, selects, and orients employees in assigned branches, groups, and/or departments.
° Establishes and maintains dynamic relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.

° Performs subsequent recruiting activities in accordance with Company Hiring policies and applicable state and federal guidelines, including but not limited to candidate searches, phone screens, interviews, reference checks, background checks, offers of employment, and the processing of corresponding paperwork.

° Coordinates and conducts presentations at high schools and technical schools. Establishes and maintains relationships with area schools. Also, attends various recruiting events.

° Establishes and actively maintains relationships with community organizations and agencies in an effort to promote brand awareness and create a pipeline of qualified candidates.

•Serves as the Human Resource consultant for assigned branches, groups, and/or departments.
° Consults with leadership regarding the performance of branches, groups, and/or departments as it relates to human capital, talent mix, capacity for growth, dynamics of staff as it effects performance, etc.

° Works with leaders regarding compliance with Human Resource-related laws, policies, practices, and guidelines.

° Serves as an organizational communication resource ensuring adequate and consistent communication regarding various initiatives that impact employees within assigned branches, groups, and/or departments.

° Engages support of other organizational resources as necessary and relevant (i.e., Learning & Development, Safety, Benefits, Wellness, etc.).

•Works in partnership with assigned branches, groups, and/or departments to manage career development opportunities.
° Performs all activities as it relates to the employee life cycle (recruit, select, hire, guide/develop, terminations, exit interviews)

° Creates and monitors individual career advancement plans with leaders and/or their employees, and consults with leaders on capabilities and potential of their staff members.

° Responds to Driver Alert notices.

° Administers the field performance evaluation process.

° Provides guidance and interpretation to branch management with regards to Human Resources policies, procedures, practices, and initiatives.

° Ensures compliance with all applicable county, state, and federal employment regulations while meeting division goals.

•Actively participates and contributes to the HR Leadership meetings to continuously develop and amend HR Guidelines to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and optimal employee relations outcomes in pursuit of Human Resources excellence.
° Creates, amends, and submits HR procedures, policies, and guidelines

° Identifies gaps in existing HR policies and contributes to the development of new HR policies and procedures. Consults and delivers new/amended policies and procedures into assigned branches, groups, and/or departments.

•Maintains current knowledge of various HR laws, practices, procedures, and trends.
•Actively participates in professional and trade related organizations to build a strong professional pipeline.
•Prepares and maintains employment records and various human resource files.
•Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIANCE
•A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, or Business and five years of progressive Human Resources experience; or
•An Associate’s degree and seven years progressive experience in Human Resources; or
•Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management.

COMPUTERSKILLS
•Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).


CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
•Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred.
•Confidentiality is essential for this position.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Recruiting experience is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment, but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels from high-speed computer printers and other peripherals. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for two to four hours daily. Occasional travel to various worksites may also be required, depending on assignment.
