Job Summary:

Senior Analyst role within the Analytics team involves providing technical expertise on the market and regulatory environment of the Health & Welfare industry, assisting in the operation of Ascende’s business intelligence tools, and assimilation of new clients into Ascende. A Senior Analyst on the Analytics team will provide support to Consulting teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and quality of work. A Senior Analyst will execute responsibilities through collaboration with the Consulting teams and with the support of the Business Execution team, as appropriate. A Senior Analyst must possess a strong sense of commitment, drive, and enthusiasm. These qualities coupled with agility will serve as a foundation for furthering the career of a professional advisor.

*Manage company participation and benchmarking protocols for the Ascende market surveys
*Provide industry intelligence and collaborate internally to monitor and refresh Ascende survey content and methodologies
*Assist with the growth of the Ascende market surveys through initiatives involving participation, marketing and survey development
*Provide training for Consulting and Execution teams on Ascende market surveys, competitive benchmarking and valuation modeling
*Be knowledgeable and provide updates to best practices and protocols managed within the Analytics team
*Develop internal and external communications that identify and summarize various market trends or regulatory changes in the market
*Perform baseline assessment of benefit programs for clients and identify opportunities for enhancement
*Collaborate with Consulting teams to develop presentations and analytical tools to gauge and project benefit trends
*Manage project workload within Analytics team and document best practices for reoccurring projects
*Manage, develop, and mentor Analysts assigned as resources
*Maximize intellectual capital as Subject Matter Expert (SME)
*Document time in Tool Time as appropriate
*Maintain key documents and data in Documentum
*Perform special projects as assigned

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Minimum Requirements:

*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational training or business experience
*1-3 years supervisory experience, if applicable
*3-5 benefits/HR experience

KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

*Microsoft Office Suite experience (Advanced in Excel)
*Strong analytical and quantitative skills
*Able to effectively interface with internal and external customers
*Able to handle confidential information with maximum discretion
*Able to understand business principles and apply them accordingly
*Able to work independently and on a team within a fast-paced environment
*Demonstrate good judgment while managing projects, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines with a sense of urgency
