The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties related to employment, training, employee communications and outreach, work/life benefits and the departmental budget. Duties include recruitment, selection and onboarding of new hires, assisting department managers in hiring temporary employees, maintaining records of all volunteers working on campus, facilitating the updating of all job descriptions, overseeing and administering all College-wide compliance and skills training, and processing tuition reimbursement requests. Additionally, you will maintain HR web pages and the HR blog, organize HR-related events, be responsible for the pre-tax transportation program and the employee assistance program, strengthen, enhance and promote the employee PERKS program, reconciling/paying monthly departmental expenses, and other related projects and assignments.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or a related field, a minimum of 3 years of HR work experience, preferably in an administrative or generalist role, and strong background working with HRIS/Payroll systems such as ADP, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, etc. Must have excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, customer service, project management and problem solving skills, along with a strong attention to detail, ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment, and effectiveness as a team player. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must, as is a sense of logic and humor, ability to make sound judgments and strong working knowledge/experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

This full-time opportunity offers an annual hiring range of $44,000-$51,000 commensurate with experience and an excellent fringe benefits package.
