HR Recruiting Assistant- Temporary Position
**Please note that this is a 12-14 week temp position. Anticipate 20-25 hours a week (Monday-Friday schedule) in our Galleria area regional office. Pay range will be between $10-12 hr. depending on experience.
This position with be supporting the HR Manager with recruiting and other various HR duties. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced recruiting environment, managing several open requisitions for various locations in six districts. Looking for a candidate with a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple calendars. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position requires the candidate to be on the phone for several hours a day.
-Responsible for posting/refreshing job openings to external job search web sites.
-Monitor and manage resumes and candidate flow and utilize proactive recruiting methods to build pipeline of candidates.
-Update and maintain applicant tracking system and recruiting documents to support recruiting activities.
-Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews with qualified candidates
-Set up in-person interviews with HR Manager and District Managers
-Maintain recruiting spreadsheet with interview schedule and onboarding process.
-Manage HR on-boarding process for new hires: Coordinate running backgrounds, checking references and other pre-employment tasks.
-Contact final candidates for missing information, additional information needed, verifications, etc. when applicable.
-Will provide administrative assistance as directed by supervisor, anticipating needs and taking appropriate action to effectively manage daily responsibilities e.g. calendar, correspondence, etc .
-Maintain the HR filing system and maintenance of new hire personnel files
-Performs general office duties to include: preparing documents, making copies, answering phones, maintaining HR files, etc.
Education, training, experience:
-Our ideal candidate will have two years of recruiting experience. Some additional HR experience would be a plus.
-Must be comfortable on the phone as this position will be primarily conducting phone interviews.
-Must have a strong understanding of the full-cycle recruitment process.
-This person will have access to sensitive and confidential information and must be able to keep such information confidential.
-Must possess excellent communication skills in writing, telephone or in-person as this role will interact daily with candidates and other employees.
-Strong time management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
-Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (strong proficiency with Excel and Outlook)
-Experience with Google Mail, Calendar and Drive preferred.
-Excellent organizational skills are a MUST.
-Must be able to work independently under HR Manager’s direction
-Must have the flexibility to adapt to priority changes and demands.
-Should also have the ability to develop strong business relationships with all levels in the organization with diverse groups in multiple locations and time zones.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Will work in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment where sense of urgency and attention to detail are essential. The HR Recruiting Assistant will establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals, will listen carefully, and perform as a team member.
