Marzetti is looking for a HR Generalist to be a strategic business partner to our business units within our corporate offices in Columbus, Ohio.

This position provides coaching, leadership and delivery of services to Build Capability, maximize Associate Engagement, and ensure Talent Acquisition. Works closely with an agile HR team to serve key internal customers supporting their talent needs to drive their business. Develop and execute quarterly action plans as agreed upon with key customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
Engagement:
-Maintains positive associate, corporate and community relations.
-Maximize associate engagement and minimize litigious activity by coaching and advising leaders and associates on policy interpretation and coaching for improved performance to ensure consistency and fair treatment.
-Participates in associate activities and engagement surveys.
-Develops and implements successful action plans to address identified disengagement.
-Meets quarterly with the HR Marzetti community to assess progress against goals, to learn/develop and work as a team.

Talent Acquisition:
-Creatively utilizes appropriate channels to establish sourcing pool of talent that generates quality candidates while being cost-effective. In a timely and thorough manner, recruit quality associates.
-Acquires targeted talent with internal customers utilizing a recruiting strategy to establish expectations.
-Identify ongoing activity to support succession planning.

Building Capability:
-Develops, coordinates and implements successful quarterly learning and development activities for associates and leaders.
-Offer coaching and guidance throughout the year supporting our Performance Management (goal setting and feedback) process.
-Facilitates the thinking, discussion and decisions within the organization in regard to role clarity, organizational changes and its impact on the business, required capability and talent (i.e. communications, job descriptions, organization structure and compensation competitiveness).
-Develops, coordinates, and implements improvements for efficient talent processes and operations.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
-Minimum of bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field or equivalent experience
-Minimum of 5-7 years of prior experience as an HR business partner supporting internal customers. Prefer experience dealing with complex human resources business challenges, preferably coming from a progressive human resources environment.
-We are not looking for payroll, benefits or compensation administrators.
-Experienced in working through associate relations issues by partnering with legal and good understanding of regulatory compliance.
-Skilled in talent acquisition - Recruiting, sourcing, establishing and maintaining good partnerships with hiring managers.
-Has worked through organizational design and development in partnership with HR team members
-Supported internal customers with strong, effective coaching and performance management
-Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
-Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
-Ability to work independently and work with minimal supervision.
-Proficient in Microsoft office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word
-PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
