Position Summary:
Performs various human resources duties in areas such as compensation, employee relations, performance management, affirmative action plans, leaves-of-absence processing and other special projects, collaborating with management teams to facilitate the delivery of HR services as appropriate

Essential Job Functions:

– Serves as backup for Manager of Vendor Relations and HRIS being able to function as fire-fighter in the event of the Manager’s extended absence. Covers for Manager during short absences with respect to nightly feeds from ADP to BeneTrac, general deduction uploads system security, SOX compliance and data entry

– Develops appropriate communications and deploys annual performance review forms, ensuring timely completion, approvals and payroll notification for merit or promotional increases

– Working with Director of Retirement Plans and the Manager of Vendor Relations, processes H.S.A. funding and follows established protocols

– Conducts salary analysis of Headquarters’ positions to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness and organizational pay practices

– Makes recommendations for Headquarters’ salary grades or market rates for specific positions

– Develops and maintains affirmative action program for Headquarters

– Processes leaves-of-absences for Headquarters’ employees

– Maintains all job descriptions, creating new job descriptions and updates existing job descriptions

– Prepares and maintains employee handbook, policies and procedures

– Participates in company wellness initiatives

Internal and External Relationships:

Experience in maintaining and managing positive relationships with internal customers, external vendors and consultants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate and Interact across all functions and levels within the company

Experience and Education:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or other discipline with SPHR certification.


Candidate must have:

Mastery of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Thorough knowledge of HR theory and practice
A working knowledge of performance management and compensation
A working knowledge of HRIS systems is a plus.
The ability to manage projects and demonstrate significant attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse people in groups or individually
Must be detail oriented
