Human Resource Training Manager

Employing more than 400 people, we are centrally headquartered in Bellefontaine, Ohio and have regional sales offices in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Minnesota, Montana, California and Texas. To ensure we provide great customer service to the west coast, an additional warehouse is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Training Manager to assume responsibility for the effective development, coordination, presentation and management of training and development programs for the Company. Additional responsibilities include assessing Company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives, identifying and arranging suitable training solutions for employees to meet the on-going business and individual development goals.
Education, training, experience:
This role is accountable for assuring that appropriate training solutions have been identified, vetted and approved for development of employees from executives to the distribution center. This includes identification of core competencies necessary for success at the various levels and functional areas of the organization.
This position will report to the Director of Organizational Development and will work as a Business Partner with Vice Presidents and Directors across the Company. A critical component to the position's success is to understand the specific strategic initiatives and development requirements for each department. This may include acting in a consultative role to assist the departmental leaders in developing specific competencies and developmental paths to meet requirements of succession plans. This role is a “hands-on" manager who can successfully lead the sourcing and management of outside suppliers and resources and produce direct output of work product.
1.Develop a training and development strategy and tactical plan that provides a readily available vetted and approved selection of training programs for employees to attend so talent development meets the Company’s growth plans in the immediate and long term time frame.
2.Assure that all training delivered internally or from outside sources (including e-learning) is consistent with and reinforces the Company culture.
3.Create a knowledge management process to assure training materials are current and accurate records are retained of each employees course participation.
4.Continually identifying training needs of the Company including safety, statutory, technology, supervision, executive development, etc.
5.Organize and publish a training calendar for recurring courses or programs.
6.Develop and manage company succession plan for all critical positions.
7.Identify and implement career development paths that allow employees to self-select gaining competencies necessary for next level positions.
8.Establish and manage the annual training budget for the company.
RequirementsQualified candidates will possess an undergraduate degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business (or other related field) as well as 5+ years of progressive experience in training and development in a corporate or business setting with at least two of those years managing a department.
