About the Position

The role is responsible for supporting the business with a range of operational, generalist HR responsibilities, ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of HR services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with HR Functions, such as Recruiting, Training, and Benefits, to ensure appropriate execution and delivery of HR programs and initiatives.

  • Provides interpretation/guidance on policies/procedures. Ensure consistent application of company policies/procedures and compliance with all federal and state laws/statutes regulating the employment relationship.

  • Administers the Affirmative Action Plan/EEO/VETS reporting process.

  • Maintain an expertise in HRIS (ADP) reporting function to efficiently and effectively run ad hoc reports for HR and/or business units as necessary.

  • Assist in administration of annual performance appraisal and annual goal setting process, including timely completion/communication of performance appraisals and goals.

  • Assist in the development and administration of the annual salary budget , including working with managers to determine appropriate merit increases, promotions, and market adjustments.

  • Prepare and submit data for compensation surveys. Assist in analyzing survey results to assess competitive position in the market and ensure salary ranges are competitive.

  • Maintain compensation data in the HRIS, including entering monthly salary increases and status adjustments.

  • Create and maintain company-wide job descriptions.

  • Conduct exit interviews; analyze data and makes recommendations for areas of change and continuous improvement.

  • Assist with employee relations issues including performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Job Requirements


    Education, training, experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management, or related field required.

  • PHR certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of general HR practices; Working knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws/regulations (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, EEOC, etc.).

  • Ability to effectively deliver presentations and coordinate activities in front of large groups of people.

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience supporting business units across multiple states and jurisdictions in the US, with a thorough understanding of the variances in employment laws and compliance obligations.

  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems, exercising judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, and law.

  • 5+ Years Experience in HR Generalist capacity.
