- Human Resources (HR) Specialist
Description
This position provides a variety of administrative support services to the Human Resources (HR) Department and Town departments in HR-related activities. Work typically involves contact with Town employees, applicants, and the public, and requires the exercise of considerable judgment, initiative, confidentiality, and discretion based on knowledge of departmental or Town policies and procedures. This position also involves maintaining and updating various types of records and documentation; processing invoices and requisitions using the Town’s financial system; answering and directing incoming calls and emails; working in payroll and HR information systems; and coordinating various HR programs and processes.

Requirements
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Eight (8) years of progressively responsible administrative and/or human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent communication and customer service skills and demonstrated ability to handle confidential material in strict confidence.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree with coursework in human resources, business administration, public administration, or related field(s).
Local government experience. Experience with Laserfiche, Munis ERP, NeoGov, a learning management system, and/or HRIS administration.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
